Udupi: Man killed after car hits scooter on NH 66

Udupi: A scooter rider died on National Highway 66 near Koppalangady Community Hall after a car hit the scooter he was riding on November 14.

The deceased has been identified as Farooq (65), a resident of Kothalakatte in Uliyaaragoli at Kaup.

The incident happened when Farooq was riding his scooter from Uchila to Mangaluru.

Farooq was thrown from his scooter as soon as the car hit his vehicle. He suffered serious injury on his head and was rushed to a private hospital in Udupi via ambulance.

Kaup police visited the accident spot and conducted an inspection. The Kaup Police visited the spot and held an inspection.

As per the reports, Farooq was working as a driver and was also working as a spare driver for a fish lorry. He is survived by his wife, four sons and four daughters.
