Udupi: Under the “Housing for All Programme” under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, title deeds were distributed to 240 beneficiaries in the first phase on Friday March 24.
The beneficiaries were residents at Babbuswamy Layout in Herga Village under Udupi Municipal Corporation limits. MLA K. Raghupathi Bhat distributed house title deeds to the beneficiaries.
Udupi City Council President Sumitra R. Nayak, Vice-President Lakshmi Manjunatha Kola, Standing Committee Chairman Srisha Kodavoor, Local Municipal Council Member Vijayalakshmi, City Shelter Committee Members Murali Bhat and Dennis, Municipal Commissioner R. P. Naik, Karnataka Slum Development Board Assistant Executive Engineer Prasanna Kumar, Bank of Baroda Manipal Branch Manager Kamlesh, City Council members, officials and contractors were present on the occasion.
