Udupi: Shirva was gripped by panic as villagers spotted a leopard in the nearby region.
According to a video that has gone viral, an adult leopard was reportedly spotted in Shirva.
The animal has also been seen by locals in the villages of Kallottu, Padavu, and Sorpu.
President of the Shirva Gram Panchayat Ratan Shetty has requested the concerned officials to take the appropriate action.
Following this, officials from the Forest Department set a trap to catch the leopard.
