Udupi: Police raid illegal slaughterhouse, 200kg beef seized

Udupi: Police seized 200kg of beef from an illegal slaughterhouse during a raid held near Badagaraguthu of Mallaru village on the morning of Sunday January 8.

The cattle were being illegally slaughtered in the backyard of a factory near Badagaraguthu, informed the police. The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Arif, a resident of Kapu Bharat Nagar. However, the other accused managed to escape.

Police informed that 200 kg of beef, two severed cattle heads, a bike, a sword, a dagger, and nylon rope were all seized from the spot.

A case has been registered at the Kapu Police Station.

Further investigation is on.
