Udupi: The Udupi City police has issued a warning to the sex workers who were ambushing customers near the Service Bus Stand area and the old KSRTC Bus Stand in the City.
From early morning till late at night, thousands of labourers and others come for the sake of work from various parts of the State. The public is also moving in large numbers. Several complaints have been lodged at the Police Station in this regard. Such incidents were repeated despite warnings.
The racket is being run in the City on a commission basis as some private hotels are also offering them rooms at affordable rates. Following all these information, the Udupi City Police suddenly kept an eye on the activities and issued a warning.
Police said that they were alerted following complaints from the public.
