Udupi: In a tragic incident, a bike rider lost control and fell into a drain and succumbed to his injuries in Nakre in the District.
The deceased has been identified as Subrahmanya (46). The bike lost control at Nakre junction when it was coming towards the location. He was thrown off the bike and severely injured. It is learnt that he was not wearing a helmet.
His relative Vishwanath was also riding a bike from the opposite direction. The accident occurred and the injured was rushed to a City Hospital where he was taken for first aid and he died on the way to Manipal for further treatment. Doctors at the hospital examined him and confirmed the death.
A case has been registered at Karkala Town Police Station.
