The incident was held at Torolli in Kundabarandadi Village in Kundapura Taluk of the District.
Two months ago, two turtles were killed after being hit by a train in the same vicinity.
The sambar deer, which was carrying food towards the plains, was crossing the railway track when it was hit by the train.
