Udupi: BJP’s Udupi District President Kuyiladi Suresh Nayak said that the Budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman this year is youth-friendly, farmer-friendly and an all-encompassing Green Budget with seven principles.
“In Karnataka, a well-planned project with an outlay of Rs. 5,300 Crore has been given for the Upper Bhadra Project. Despite the economic slowdown across the world, a bold decision has been taken to uplift the country’s economy. The ‘Credit Guarantee’, a Rs. 10 lakh loan scheme for small entrepreneurs announced during covid times, has been continued. The ‘Shri Anna Yojana’, which provides free ration to the poor announced under the National Food Security Act, has also been continued. There has been announcement of setting up of 50 new airports, and small entrepreneurs have been encouraged through a scheme to set up skill development centres in 30 states,” he said.
“The ‘Vishwakarma Skill Development’ Scheme has been implemented for the artisans. In addition to giving a big boost to electric vehicles, a significant step has been taken in replacing old government vehicles under the vehicle scrapping policy. The ‘Mahila Samman’ Scheme has been implemented for women entrepreneurs. The much-awaited exemption from income tax has been announced for the middle class people,” he said.
Kuyiladi said that this is an excellent budget that will strengthen the country’s economy and give more thrust to infrastructure development and give more impetus to the common man, farmers, industry, youth and women.
