Udupi: Three arrested in Padubidri for planning theft

Udupi: Three persons were arrested after it was found that they were planning to commit theft. The thieves were chased as they tried to evade vehicle checking at Nandikoor junction on Thursday August 4.

At Nandikoor junction when the police personnel signalled an autorickshaw to stop, the auto driver zoomed past the check post, and that is when police chased the vehicleand and intercepted it at Padebettu.

The auto riders were caught by the police and on interrogation they confessed that they were trying to commit theft.

Padubidri Police has arrested the trio who have been identified as Mohammed Muneer (24), Mohammed Arif (37) and Akbar (36), residents of Kursugudde, Kalavara, Bajpe. They already have case registered against them.
