Udupi: The District is celebrating its silver Jubilee. Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Sripada of Pejawara Matha has written a letter to the Central Government to set up a software IT Park in the District at the earliest to boost the economy, prevent talent from fleeing, revive agriculture and improve family life.
He had written a letter to Minister for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Electronics and Information Technology Rajiv Chandrashekhar a month ago and he has also discussed it with Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan.
A copy of the letter has also been sent to Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje.
She has instructed the Deputy Commissioners to send a proposal in this regard to the State Government immediately, following which the proposal will be prepared, sources in the Matha stated.
