Udupi: Karkala Sub Inspector Madhu B has been alleged of assaulting a youth inhumanely here on Thursday July 8. The relatives of the victim, who is in ICU now, have demanded the suspension of the SI.
Victim Radhakrishna Nayak Hirgana, a Bangalore-based software employee and resident of Karkala was asked to report to the police station as he had put up an offensive post on social media platform – Facebook.
Once at the police station, it has been alleged that the SI stamped the youth and kicked him real hard on the chest. Naik is severely injured and now is in ICU section of Manipal hospital.
The assault news has gone viral on social media and received wide-spread criticism. People are now questioning Home Ministry and the Police Department.
