Karwar: Following the Government’s in-principle approval for the construction of a multi-speciality hospital, Health Minister Dr. Sudhakar inspected the site near Mirjan Railway Station and near Konkan Education in Yettinabail, Kumta of Uttara Kannada District.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said that he had already visited the places suggested by the officials of the Department, including the Deputy Commissioner, and it has been decided that Mirjan Yettinabail land is suitable for the construction of the hospital.
Among those present were MLA Dinakar Shetty, Sub-Divisional Officer Raghavendra Jagalasara, Tahsildar Vivek Shenvi, Women and Child Development Department Officer Nagarathna Naika, well-known figures Gajanana Pai and M. G. Bhat as well as staff from the Taluk-level Health Department including Venkatesh Naika.
