Udupi: An incident that will reaffirm are faith in humanity, and good samaritans has been reported from Kundapur in the District on Thursday October 21. The iincident occurred in the Kundapur-Mangaluru bus wherein the conductor and driver of the bus turned out to be a saviour to a youth who had forgotten a bag in the bus and got down at Tekkatte here.
However, the bag was full of valuables, and contained gold jewelleries that included bangles, and one mangalasutra apart from a mobile phone. The conductor Gopal from Vittal in Dakshina Kannada District who found the bag on the seat showed presence of mind and called one of his friends who was working in another bus service who asked the conductor friend to take a photo, handover the jewellery to police personnel if any in the bus and send the photos to him. Coincidentally, there was a staff from Kota Police Station in the bus. Gopal handed over the jewellery bag to him and the bus driver Pratap sent the photo through whatsapp in the meantime. He also informed that the concerned can call him and inform if they have lost the bag.
Soon the youth who lost the bag got the information through social media and contacted driver Pratap who informed him to contact the Kota Police Station. Subsequently, the youth contacted the police and was returned the valuables.
