Kalaburagi: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil demanded the Central Government to undertake a CBI investigation under the supervision of sitting Supreme Court judge into allegations of BJP ministers asking for 40 per cent of project cost as bribe from the contractors in the State.
Patil was addressing mediapersons here on Tuesday November 23. He recollected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had once alleged in one of the election rallies in the State when Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was at the helm that the then State Government was a 10% government. Now, I want to know what is the stand of PM Modi on official letter by contractors on BJP ministers asking for bribe, he questioned and added CBI inquiry under supervision of SC judge is warranted.
In a retort to State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel’s remarks of ‘Kharge’s loot shop in Kalaburagi closed’, he said now the citizens of the State know who are the true looters with contractors letter to PM. It is shameful that BJP is questioning leader like Mallikarjuna Kharge who has no single charges of corruption in 50 years of his political career, he added.
