Hubballi Police Constable, Woman Allegedly Dies by Suicide


Hubballi: A police constable and a woman allegedly died by suicide in their house in Gamanagatti, in APMC Navanagar police station limits in Hubballi. The incident came to light on Tuesday.


The deceased have been identified as Mahesh Hesroor, a constable attached to the Dharwad Traffic Police Station, and Vijayalakshmi Wali.. The couple allegedly died by suicide hanging > The police broke open the door after receiving a complaint from locals about a foul smell emanating from the house.

Police suspect that the couple might died by suicide due to an illicit relationship a couple of days ago. Mahesh was already married, but he was having an affair with Vijayalakshmi. The two had moved in together 15 days ago. The exact cause of the suicide is still under investigation. Police are investigating the case.
