H D Kote: After several wild animal attacks in Hirehalli colony, the residents are living in fear. It is learnt that many domesticated animals like dogs, cats and cattle were attacked by a tiger in the area.
On Monday, the tiger had attacked a cow owned by Huchhayya, the tiger again attacked and killed a cow on Tuesday owned by Shivamma Kempegowda.
Forest officials rushed to the spot and continued their search but failed to nab the tiger. On Tuesday after another incident was reported, forest officials laid a trap to catch big cat after tracing its pug marks.
ACF Lingaraju, forest offiicials Ananya Kumar, Rudresh, assistant forest conservation officer Akshay, Nisar, Shashikanth, Swamy, Chamachary and around 20 other staff visited the area.
