Tragic Accident Car Falls Of Bridge In Haveri, Karnataka

Four lives were lost, including that of a seven-year-old girl, and six others were injured in a devastating accident in Haveri district, Karnataka. The incident took place near Halageri on National Highway 48 in Ranebennur Taluk. The victims were on their way to Tirupati when their car fell off a bridge.


According to Haveri Police, initial investigations suggest that the vehicle veered off the bridge onto the service road, causing it to overturn. The deceased have been identified as Suresh (45), Aishwarya (22), Chetana (7), and Pramila (28), all residents of Ashwini Nagar in Haveri.

Sadly, Suresh, Aishwarya, and Chetana lost their lives on the spot, while Pramila passed away during treatment at Ranebennur Government Hospital. The injured, including Channaveerappa Jadi, Savitra Jadi, Vikas Barki, Prabhuraj Samagandi, Geeta Bharki, and Honnappa Barki, are currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Haveri SP Anshukumar visited the scene for inspection, and a case has been registered at Ranebennur Traffic Police Station. The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, and CCTV footage from nearby areas will be scrutinized for further insight.
