Hubballi: The popular anti-corruption activist, Anna Hazare, will be visiting Hubballi on January 4 in order to address the students, farmers and others at the Nehru Stadium.
According to Sri Basavajayamruthyunjaya Swamiji of Koodalasangam, a member of the Bhrishtachar Virodhi Janandolan Samiti said that Hazare plans to launch an agitation demanding reforms including anti-corruption measures, farmers’ welfare and election reform. He also explained that Hazare plans to interact with the public in Hubballi in order to spread awareness about his movement – for the Jan Lokpal – and explain his views.
Hazare will also try to include a solution to the Mahadayi issue in his demands and write letters to the centre and concerned state governments. The seer also said that the only way for the issue to be resolved soon is for the Prime Minister himself to intervene in the matter.
Hazare is also slated to pay a visit to Belagavi on January 5.
