Hubballi: Allaying rumours on his health, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday December 28 said that he has the strength to work tirelessly for 365 days without any rest.

Speaking to mediapersons at airport here, he stressed that he has decided to work as much as possible in a day. My aim is a minimum of 15 hours a day as I want to bring BJP back to power in the 2023 elections, he added.

He was responding to BJP MLA M. P. Kumaraswamy’s statement that he should take a brief rest. It can be recalled here that rumours have been persisting that Chief Minister was suffering from a serious knee ailment and that he is likely to fly overseas soon for a treatment.

The two-day BJP State Executive Committee meeting will have deliberations on issues related to party organisation and political developments, and a few significant decisions would be taken. BJP National General Secretary In-Charge of Karnataka Arun Singh and State President Nalin Kumar Kateel would decide the agenda for the meeting, Bommai said.

Stating that BJP leaders believe in team work, and it will be the same during the polls, Bommai was thankful to Arun Singh for showing confidence in him and stating that the party  will contest assembly polls under his leadership.

Replying to a question about the recent the ACB raid at the BDA, Bommai said that a request for permission to file an FIR has been received. Permission would be granted without any delay for the request from the Internal Vigilance Cell.
