Hubballi: As many as 89 people have been arrested in connection with violence in Hubbali that occurred on Sunday April 17.
The violence erupted late night on Sunday wherein mobs pelted stones which included on police station and damaged properties as an act of retaliation. According to police, the violence was triggered after social media post by a man who is now under judicial custody.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday April 19 Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has reiterated that appropriate action will be taken against the culprits soon after the investigation completes. Attacking the police station is a serious crime, and action will surely be taken, he stressed.
