Hubballi: Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Gangadharaiah Hiremath died of a cardiac arrest on Saturday August 27.
A resident of Rottigawad Village of the District had been to his hometown on a holiday and returned to duty in the Cooch Behar Sector of West Bengal only on Tuesday August 23.
It is learnt that he suffered severe chest pain on Saturday and rushed to a nearby hospital. But he died on the way.
Meanwhile, his mortal remains were brought back to his hometown on Sunday August 28.
