Hubbali: As the rebel leader of the Congress party Ramesh Jarkiholi seemed upset over the high command’s decisions in the state coalition cabinet expansion, all eyes were on the Bharatiya Janata Party to see if “Operation Kamala” was yet again on the ground.
Chairman of Government-alliance Coordination Committee Siddaramaiah somehow convinced Ramesh calling him for a one-to-one meet at his residence.
Amid all this, BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa has given a statement here on December 26 saying that he had not gone to Belagavi to meet Ramesh Jarkiholi but had been there to discuss the 2019 Lok Sabha election strategy.
He mentioned this addressing the media at the Hubbali airport.
BSY clarified that he had visited Chikkodi Lok Sabha constituency to discuss with the party leaders as some of them were not present during his initial visit.
He said that he had not contacted any of the Congress leaders or MLAs and that time would answer.
Meanwhile, he condemned Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s statement of ‘shootout’ regarding the brutal murder of the Janata Dal (S) party worker Prakash in Mandya district.
CM HDK had ordered the police administration to shoot the criminals, to which BSY has urged the CM to seek apology from the people of the state.
