Hubballi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Thursday April 28 that the State Government is planning to form a committee to curb hate speech as per Supreme Court instructions.

Speaking mediapersons CM Bommai said that we would follow the Apex Court’s order. The hate speech is rising in India, and special in social media, he noted.

Further he said, “All the people in India are living peacefully, while in other countries terrorism is being spread in the name of religion. If citizens follow the Constitution, peace as always will prevail,” he asserted.

It can be recalled here that recently hate speeches were aired during the Dharam Sansad held in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and the Apex Court had called for zero tolerance on the part of Central and State Government, directing states to form special task forces to prevent hate crimes.
