Gas Cylinder Explosion At Kalaburagi Hotel Leaves Many Injured

Kalaburagi: A devastating gas cylinder explosion at Saptgiri Hotel near Sri Sharanbasaveshwara Lake in Kalaburagi has left several individuals injured, with four in critical condition. The incident occurred during a pipe connection to a new cylinder after the previous one had emptied.

The injured include the cook Sasikala, Ramesh Firozabad, their daughter Ambika, and sons Mallinath, Rakesh, Shankar, Gurumurthy, Prashanth, Satyavan, Apparai, Mallinath, Vitthalana, Mahesh, and Lakshman. Four individuals in critical condition have been admitted to a local hospital for treatment, while nine others sustained minor injuries.

The explosion, which occurred in the kitchen on the ground floor, caused significant damage to the hotel building, shattering windows and creating widespread panic.

Commissioner of Police R. Chetan Kumar and ACP Kannika Shikhiwal visited the site to conduct an inspection and assess the damage.
