Ballari: Due to non-discharge of water from the canal as requested by the farmers, the standing crops are drying up. Therefore, District In-Charge Minister B. Sriramulu said, “I myself have visited the fields and checked. Water will flow into the canal as soon as possible,” he said.
On Wednesday November 2, after having holy ablution in the Vedavati River of Bairadevanahalli of Ballari Rural Assembly Constituency, he inspected the repair work on the pillar of the LLC canal. “The authorities are working on war-footing in repairing the canal. We are trying our best to release water to the farmers’ fields from the canal soon. Our Government is committed to protecting the interests of farmers, he said.
He assured the farmers that he would be with them. He also met the farmers of rural Ballari and heard their grievances.
