Hosapete: A tense situation prevailed in Hosapete town of Ballari district after pamphlets containing anti-Hindu comments were distributed yo people on Sunday, December 27.
Khajapeer, a photographer by profession, was arrested by the police on Sunday night, for printing and distributing the pamphlets.
Some of the text in the pamphlets included, “Pro- Hindu organisations have been persistently committing atrocity against the Muslim community. If the situation continues, we are compelled to go the houses of the members of these organisations and kill them. This is just a warning. If you consider me as just photographer and ignore me, ISIS type of organisations will have to be formed even here.”
After reading the pamphlets, a visibly angered group of people went to Khajapeer’s house and took him to task. After the police intervened, the situation was brought under control. Police also took prohibitory measures and imposed section in the taluk to control the situation.
Meanwhile, some organisations have called for Hosapete bandh on December 29.
