Bidar: Case lodged for illegal transportation of rice

Bidar: Acting on a tip-off received by Assistant Commissioner regarding unauthorised transportation of ration grains supplied under various Government schemes in Bidar Town area on Monday March 26, Nagaraj Patil, Food Inspector, along with the officers and staff of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, and Gandhiganj Police Station, seized unauthorised transportation of foodgrains near Sindhol Kalyana Mantapa on Bidar-Amalapur Road.

The rice estimated value of Rs. 4,37,800 and the two vehicles estimated of Rs.7,00,000 were also seized.

The accused were identified as Mohammed Rafsan, Prabhu, Firoz and Abdul Nizam.

A case has been registered at Gandhiganj Police Station on the basis of a report by Nagaraj Patil Food Inspector, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.
