Bidar: Villagers gheraoed Prabhu Chavan’s son Prateek Chavan at Wadgaon (D) Village in Aurad Taluk demanding a solution to the drinking water problem.
The incident took place when Prateek was on his way to the village to meet the public and seek suggestions from the public for the development of Aurad Constituency.
It has been almost four to five months since the JJM work started. For the past five months, people in Ward No. 1 have been struggling without a drop of water.
The Gram Panchayat Public Development Officer (PDO) and the President told the members about our problem and to no avail and the women demanded that the water problem be resolved immediately.
I am travelling in the village to listen to the problems of the people. Prateek Chavan assured that he will solve their problem within a week. The women of the village warned that if water does not come to their village within a week, they will come to his house and lay siege to it.
