Bidar: BJP Leader and Ekta Foundation Leader Ravindra Swamy said that there are suspicions of irregularities to the tune of Rs. 200 Crore in handing over the mobile Animal Ambulance maintenance tender of the Animal Husbandry Department to an inexperienced ‘Edus Park’ company. A probe should be conducted by a High Court judge to expose the scam.”

Speaking at a press conference in the City, he said the direct involvement of Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu Chavan in the multi-crore scam cannot be ruled out. “A total of 290 Mobile Animal Ambulances have been distributed in the State, including 68 ambulances to Kalyana Karnataka.

Mumbai-based ‘Edus Park’ is an institution that conducts classes for students online. As per the rules, the candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine. Animal ambulances should be maintained,” he said.

“There should be necessary staff. However, a company which has no experience here has been entrusted with the responsibility of maintenance,” he alleged.

“The tender has not maintained transparency while appointing qualified service providers. There is no reason mentioned on the website against the disqualification of those who participated in the tender. NGOs with credentials of operating in other States have not been considered. Therefore, GVK company filed a case of WEP 3836/2023 in the High Court on February 17,” he said.

It is learnt that the BJP High Command has decided not to give tickets to 50 sitting MLAs in the State. Prabhu Chavan’s name also figures in it,” he said.
