Bidar: The Cabinet has approved setting up of an integrated cattle breeding and farmers’ training centre in Aurad Taluk with a grant of Rs 34.49 Crore, stated Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu B. Chavan.
In a press release, the Minister stated that there is a Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University in District. But I wanted the Animal Husbandry Department to set up a cattle breeding centre to cater to the priorities of the local farmers. I had prepared a detailed plan in this regard and was working on its implementation. Now that the Cabinet has also approved it, a cattle breeding centre will be set up in the area soon, he noted.
“This centre will be of great help to a large number of small and medium farmers here,” he added.
“A cattle breeding and farmers’ training centre will be set up by the State Government with the help of NABARD,” he informed.
