Bidar: State decides to give 5kg rice for APL card holders

Bidar: Rice under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) is being procured and distributed entirely under Central Government grants. During the month of January – 2023, 35 kgs will be distributed free of cost to Antyodaya (AAY) ration card holders and 5 kgs to each member of Aadyata (PHH) ration card under Annabhagya Scheme.

The State government has decided to provide extra 1 kg of rice for the month of January – 2023. 1 kg of rice to be distributed in the month of January -2023 will be added to the ration for the month of February – 2023.

For a single-member ration card of non-priority (APL) ration card, 5 kgs will be given. Rice and a ration card with two and more members will be given 10 kgs at Rs 15 per kg.

The Central Government’s ration distribution quantity of 5 kgs of rice, which is available through inter-state portability, can be availed free of cost by each member at any of the fair price shops in the State , the Deputy Commissioner stated in a press release.
