MTech graduate digs 14 feet deep well for farming in Bidar

Bidar: An MTech graduate from the Kouta Village in Aurad Taluk of the District has dug 14-feet-deep well to take up farming in his farmland. He dug this well alone and now it is a source for watering more than 400 fruit-bearing trees.

Suryakanth, a local youth of the village who has one and a half acres of farmland is MTech graduate. He took nearly one year to dig this well all alone.

According to Suryakanth,  who pursued his BE in Automobile Engineering and later pursued his MTech, returned to his village after Covid – 19 lockdown. He approached the Horticulture Department and local Gram Panchayat for the support which was duly extended by the government agencies.

Suryakantha found water when down 14 feet. Now he has planted over 400 fruitbearing treees in his farmland and has been watering using this well. According to him, he is getting more satisfaction in farm works compared to his work in MNCs.
