Kalaburagi: Actor-Director Rishab Shetty of Kantara fame will be honoured with the National-level Sidda Shri Award at the 38th Guru Vandana Mahotsava of Sri Shadakshari Shivayogi Dr. Muruga Rajendra Mahaswamiji to be held on December 2, said Guruvandana Reception Committee Honarary President Abhinava Shivalinga Swamiji.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the award is being conferred as part of the 38th Guruvandana Mahotsava on December 1, ooojas of 38 gomatas will be performed at Mugalakhoda Matha Gaushala. 5,000 saplings will be planted in the wake of environmental concerns, he informed.
More than 1.5 lakh devotees from five States will participate in the Mahotsava, which will be attended by political leaders and Hara-guru-chara Murthy. Eminent litterateurs V. Nagendra Prasad and Dr. Shivashankarappa Sahukara, KPSC Chairman will be specially felicitated. In the evening, Swara Sangeetha Sambhrama and Guruvandana Mahotsava by renowned playback singer Vijaya Prakash and special talent from various cultural troupes will participate in the function.
