Chincholi: The Chincholi by-election Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Avinash Jadhav and MLA P Rajeev have complained to the Election Commission against Congress leaders for allegedly using police pilot vehicles for campaigning and transporting cash even after the model code of conduct was in force.

Speaking to the presspersons, MLA P Rajeev said that the State Social Welfare and District In-charge Minister Priyank Kharge and his father Mallikarjun Kharge were using police pilot vehicles for the by-election campaigning.

The pilot vehicles were also seen campaigning for Congress party, alleged MLA.

Rajeev said that they had urged the EC to take appropriate action to curb the violation of the model code of conduct and carry out the election in a transparent manner.

They have also insisted that the EC take appropriate action against those officers who had participated in the campaigning along with the pilot vehicles.

BJP candidate Dr Avinash Jadhav and former MLA Valmiki Nayakar were also present.
