Kalburgi: An elderly man died in the stampede that occurred in Saudi Arabia a few days ago and his wife has reportedly gone missing, sources said.
Abdul Gafoor (63) is the deceased and his wife Husen B is missing, according to the sources.
On August 27, the couple had travelled from Kalburgi to Haj pilgrimage. They are residents of Ivan A Shahi in Kalburgi, confirmed Haj committee officials.
In the devastating stampede that took place during the symbolic stoning of the devil on September 24, 700 were killed and over 860 injured making it the second worst tragedy ever, to hit the annual pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
