Kalaburagi: Deputy Commissioner Yashwanth Gurukar said that a total of 91,000 voters have been deleted from the voters’ list after their names were found to be in the voters’ list at two places within the Assembly constituency.
He was speaking to mediapersons he convened to explain the publication of the draft voters’ list for the 2023 draft revision of electoral rolls. He said that 17,000 voters in Kalaburagi North, 12,000 in Kalaburagi South and 10,000 in Sedam Constituency were found to be in two places and deleted from the names of the voters in the same Constituency.
A total of 1.84 lakh voters in nine Assembly constituencies of Kalaburagi District have been found to have their names in the voters’ list at two places, of which 91,000 have been deleted, he said. He said 21.64 lakh voters are left in the District after 91,000 voters were deleted from the list.
