Kalaburagi: BJP candidate violates Code of Conduct

Kalaburagi: In the presence of the Union Minister, a BJP candidate violated the election code of conduct in Gamwara Village of Jewargi Taluk of the District.

During the election campaign votes were campaigned in favour of BJP. But there is a rule that children cannot be used in election campaigns.

Shivraj Patil the BJP candidate for the Jewargi Assembly Constituency is now facing allegations of using children for his election campaign. A BJP campaign meeting was organised in Gamwara village of Jewargi taluk where the lapse allegedly happened. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was also present in this meeting.

During the campaign organised in the village, a small child campaigned for BJP candidate Shivraj Patil. It is being said that the BJP candidate has clearly violated the Code of Conduct. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was also present on the platform. A small child who spoke on the occasion, urged to vote for BJP. Everyone including the Union Minister who was on the stage applauded and encouraged. The public has expressed extreme outrage for using a child for propaganda.

According to election rules minors cannot be used for campaigning. If used once it is considered a crime as per law and violation of Code of Conduct. There is no information about the Election Commission registering a complaint about this incident so far.
