Kalaburagi: Large Industries and District In-charge Minister Murugesh Nirani said that the State Government will provide compensation for toor damaged due to disease.
Speaking to mediapersons after arriving to participate in the BJP’s booth-winning campaign, he said that the issue of toor disease was discussed in the Belagavi session. But nothing has been decided yet. He made it clear that a decision on whether to give a special package or compensation will be taken after another round of meeting.
The authorities have given a preliminary report of the damage caused to toor due to the disease. The report will be obtained once again, he explained.
Nirani said that it has come to the notice of the Government that the farmer is suffering as there has been crop damage to toor grown in the region.
