Kalburgi: Suliwadi Maramma temple that hit headlines after the prasadam poisoning episode will soon be brought under the Muzrai department.
Addressing the media, Muzrai Minister Rajashekhar Patil said that the government has taken the tragedy very seriously and the locals have pressurized the government to take over the temple administration.
He said that instruction has already been given to the tahsildar and the deputy commissioner with regard to this and that once the detailed report is submitted to the government, the necessary decision would be taken.
Meanwhile, Patil also said that in muzrai and private-owned temples, CCTV camera installation would be made mandatory. Henceforth, only the main cook will be allowed into the temple kitchen.
