Congress, Pak-backed terrorists stormed Red Fort in guise of farmers: B C Patil

Koppal: State agriculture minister B C Patil on Tuesday, termed those who stormed the Red Fort in New Delhi as terrorists and not farmers.

It can be recalled that hundreds of protesting farmers swarmed the historic Red Fort on Tuesday as their ‘Kisan Gantantra Parade’ turned violent at several places in the national capital.

A few youths even climbed up the flagpole on the landmark and put up a saffron-coloured pennant.

Commenting on the incident after unfurling the Indian flag on the country’s 72nd Republic Day, Patil alleged that Congress and Pakistan-backed terrorists stormed the Red Fort in the guise of farmers.

The Indian flag and the Red Fort have a special and constitutional sanctity, the BJP leader said, adding that that insulting the two, especially on Republic Day, is a black mark on the nation’s democratic history. “It is highly condemnable and the culprits will be brought to justice,” he said.

Pointing out that farmers have never taken the law into their own hands, Patil claimed that terrorists backed by the Congress may even take the guise of farmers and attack the soldiers at the border in the near future.

The BJP minister accused the Congress party of supporting the protesters and instigating terrorists as they are “unable to bear the good governance of Narendra Modi”. “The Congress has been undertaking futile attempts to destabilise the Modi government,” Patil added.
