Koppal: In a bid to conduct the Assembly elections in a transparent manner, checkposts have been set up at the borders of the constituencies as per the directions of the Election Commission and checking of bikes, cars and other vehicles are being conducted round the clock for 24 hours a day, said Grama Panchayat CEO Rahul Ratnam Pandey.
He visited the checkpost at Jangamara Kalgudi Village in the Taluk and inspected the vehicle verification documents and drinking water and lighting arrangements for the staff working at the checkpost.
He asked the checkpost staff to check cars, goods vehicles, and other suspicious vehicles.
