Koppal: Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje said that the Siddaramaiah Government will release PFI Activists lodged in jails in Mangaluru, Bengaluru and Mysuru.
She said that the Congress was playing politics to woo Muslim votes.
Speaking to mediapersons in Koppal, she said, “We will not do politics of appeasement. Why is Shaadi Bhagya given only to one category? It is the Congress which is indulging in politics of appeasement and religion,” she said.
“Siddaramaiah came to power in the name of Ahinda and as soon as he came to power, he celebrated Tipu Jayanti. Tipu is not worshipped in Muslim religion. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje said Siddaramaiah had tried to destroy the entire system by bringing caste among school children and trying to slay Veerashaiva religion.
Responding to Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan’s statement that Siddaramaiah was to be beaten like Tipu, she said, “It is 100 percent wrong, no one should say that.”
“In a democratic system, everyone has the opportunity to speak. Their own party speaks of their ideology. The party should be built on the basis of ideology. Ashwath Narayan was wrong in speaking so. There is no such ideology in our party,” she said.
“We have a Government at the Centre and in the State. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that a double engine Government should come in for development work. In the past, Indian Prime Ministers used to say that if they go abroad, they come for loans and alms. But now India is strong. This is what the Prime Minister of India said in the War of Ukraine and Russia. The Prime Minister is still not talking about the 2024 elections. The Prime Minister speaks with the goal of development,” she asserted.
