Koppal: An estimated Rs. 91,000 stolen from Sri Durgadevi Temple at Kalamalli Thanda in the Taluk.
A case of theft of valuables has been registered under Tavaragera Police Station limits. On the morning of Tuesday December 20, they broke open the doors of the Temple and looted the ornaments from the Temple.
Jewellery worth Rs. 91,400, including 43 tola devi idols, 25 tola swords, 1 dhaba of 30 tolas, 1 umbrella of 21 tolas, 4 gold thalis of half tola, and 2 nose rings of half tola were stolen among others.
A case has been registered at Thavaragera Police Station.
