Koppal: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was not challenged to come to the Constituency at the SC/ST convention held in Ballari. I have challenged the Congress party. I have not used the word ‘take care of Siddaramaiah’. If the word was used, I will withdraw the word,” said Transport Minister R. Sriramulu.
Speaking to mediapersons here, he said, “I have not challenged Siddaramaiah at a rally in Ballari. I have challenged the Congress party. We have given reservation to SC/ST communities and have settled in Ballari. The Congress criticised us. He spoke about our strengths. Therefore, I have challenged the Congress party and not Siddaramaiah. I have not called Siddaramaiah to come. It has been misinterpreted in the media, he said.
“I did not use the word ‘I will see Siddaramaiah’ at the conference. I have said that if the Congress party has the strength, it will come. He said I was stupid in Ballari. Our community is waking up to his statement,” he said.
