Koppal: A stray cow in the Town has been infected with Lumpy Skin Disease and is roaming the streets without timely treatment, which has triggered fears that it could spread to other livestock.
The disease has spread to the stray cow. A blister has burst on the cow’s skin and blood is leaking and it is suffering. The sick cow is seen wandering around without a stop. There is a fear of this infectious disease spreading from this cow to other cattle.
If it is a domesticated animal, the farmers are doing the treatment. But for these cattle, it is the Animal Husbandry Department that has to come forward to take up the treatment.
When it was brought to the notice of the local Veterinary Doctor, he said that he was currently going to Hanumanmala area for the treatment of cattle and assured to treat the sick cow.
