Koppal: In a tragic incident, a bike rider was killed on the spot after his bike collided with a neem tree at a turn on the road near Idlapura on the Mudenur – Thavaragera road.
The deceased has been identified as Mahendra Mallappa Malagi (17), a resident of Guledalu Village in Hagaribommanahalli Taluk of Vijayanagar District on Tuesday January 24 as per the instructions of a wind power company official, he had given the bike to take the driver, who was at the Hiremannapur Wind Plant, to the Idlapur Wind Company Plant.
Mallikarjuna Basarigida, a minor bike rider, was hit by a neem tree at a turn near his farm on Idlapur Road. Mahendra was seriously injured in the collision and died on the spot.
A case has been registered at Thavaragera Police Station against the officials of Wind Company.
