Koppal: Robbery in ex-army man’s house

Koppal: There was a theft in the house of an Ex-serviceman behind the Police Station in Leo Colony area on the outskirts of Kushtagi Town.

Subhashchandra Madiwala, an ex-serviceman and President of Madiwala Samaj, had gone with his family to celebrate Madivala Machideva Jayanti organised at Hanumansagar on Friday February 3.

When he returned home at 5.00 pm, he found that the house had been burgled. They immediately informed the Police Station, who inspected the house and took steps to call a dog squad.

In the afternoon, the thieves broke open the lock of the house and decamped with 12 tolas of gold and Rs. 1.5 lakh from the cupboard. The idols of the silver Gods were thrown on the way.

The incident has created panic among the residents of Leo Colony and Krishnagiri Colony.
