Koppal: Students led by Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest on Wednesday December 7 and submitted a memorandum to the Higher Education Minister through the principal demanding that the government engineering college in the City should be filled locally as there was a shortage of lecturers for important courses including Computer Science.
The local government engineering college has not provided basic amenities to the students despite having a high grade. There is a shortage of lecturers for some of the important courses and a permanent principal should be appointed, they demanded.
ABVP leader Sarvajnamurthy, District Vice-President of Yuva Prathi Sena Galesh Rathod, Organising Secretary Kaustubh Dandin, District member Pranesh B. Anjaneya and students were present.
