Koppal: Former deputy chief minister and BJP leader K S Eshwarappa has said that the Congress leaders themselves will ensure defeat of the Janata Dal (S) Lok Sabha candidates in the election, here on Sunday, March 31.
Speaking to media in a private hotel located in Gangavati Nagar he said, “The Congress leaders are acting as if they are with the JDS, but they are planning a strategy to defeat the JDS candidates and on this, the Congress leaders have carried out several rounds of discussion. This way, they’ll support the BJP”.
Commenting on the Mandya Lok Sabha battle, Eshwarappa said that coalition candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy would definitely lose and that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy too knows it fully well.
He said, “CM HDK knows that his son Nikhil will lose and it is for this reason he is not going anywhere leaving Mandya. For the JDS, Hassan, Mandya and Tumakuru have become a ‘nation’, for which they have completely neglected other constituencies”.
Eshwarappa opined that former chief minister Siddaramaiah himself would make former prime minister and JDS Supremo H D Deve Gowda lose Tumakuru Lok Sabha.
