Raichur: Gold ornaments worth Rs 30 lakh were stolen from gold jewellery in Mudgal Town here.
Shravan Jain, the victim, is the owner of the MK Jewellery showroom on Lingasugur Road. Each night after closing the shop, he had a practice of bringing all the gold jewellery to his residence.
The miscreants were aware of this and as Shravan was returning home on the night of Wednesday, October 19, they threw chilli powder in his eyes and stole the jewellery.
The Mudgal police have filed a case in this regard.
